Hi! My name is Sara and I'm the leader of Ladytroupe Sweets. My three daughters; ages 6, 4 and 2 months are my ladytroupe. The five year old is a huge helper in the kitchen, the 3 year old is my taster and the baby has everything BUT food in her mouth right now. They keep me happily busy.
We are an American family living all over the world. You wouldn't think third world living is conducive to creativity, but surprisingly I find inspiration in the family time we have overseas. We have A LOT of family time here. I have to be creative about keeping busy! I like to combine family time with staying busy in the kitchen.
So, I bake! I bake to have wonderful things to eat in our home. I bake to give to our friends. I bake to have something fun to do with my daughters. I bake because I love to be in the kitchen creating with my hands. I've been baking and cooking for as long as I remember. My mother was my teacher and now I am happily showing my own daughters the joys of working in the kitchen.
Now I'm baking for Ladytroupe Sweets. It's a new project I've started. I'm opening a little farmer's market booth to sell some of my bakery creations. I have never done this sort of thing before so I'm taking pictures and writing about the projects, the journey and ultimately about Ladytroupe Sweets.
Everything about this project is inspired by my girls. Each one of them is made of sugar and spice and everything nice.
Come along for the journey. It should fun...and delicious!
